This Semester is Flying
Wow! I cannot believe that this semester is already almost over. There are only two more weeks of classes and then finals! It seems to me that we just got back from summer break. But here we are it's almost December and Christmas is just around the corner. This is one of my favorite times of the year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, everyone seems so much happier in how they act and treat others. But people can also get caught up in the spending and buying presents for everyone that they lose the true joy of the season. Don't get me wrong, I love presents, and I think giving gifts to others is something that is important, but when you totally focus on that aspect of Christmas, and neglect family and friends, you've taken it too far. So let's remember to enjoy this time of the year and celebrate the birth of Jesus!

I completely agree! I feel like I was just working at my summer job last week and here we are already ending the fall semester. I have always enjoyed each holiday and agree that family and friends should be of the most importance. Now that I am away at college and do not make it home very often any time spent and especially around the holiday is very valuable. I also can't forget around Christmas that giving is always better than getting. I have always gotten family gifts and love to see their reaction and enjoyment over a thoughtful gift. Like you said it is the birth of Jesus, and what a better time than spending it with family and loved ones and celebrating the life He gave us.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this semester has gone by so fast. My job at home called and asked me what day I can start working and I couldn't believe how soon it was. I love winter and the holiday's that are in it. Although, there are people that just worry about the presents, but thats not what it is about. My favorite is when we actually have a white Christmas and all it does is snow.
